Clinic Partner, Raheny Veterinary Clinic
Sorcha has always loved her job as a vet and building strong relationships with pets and their owners. When she was exploring the next steps in her career she discovered the Village Vets Partnership program and it was the perfect fit.
"Owning my own clinic in partnership with Village Vets gave me a chance to put my own touch on the clinic. It also allows me to reinforce the ethos that we have here, providing the best possible care to all pets while supporting their owners in the process"
Sorcha met with the Village Vets Partnership team to learn how the partnership would work. With their guidance and support she felt confident taking the next step toward clinic ownership.
"My main goal is to set up long-lasting relationships with the pets and pet owners of Raheny. I want them to feel like we're part of the same community and that they feel supported by me and the team"
Sorcha cares deeply about her team and animal welfare and she values how partnering with Village Vets gives her the freedom to co-own a clinic while staying connected to a supportive team.
"Partnership with Village Vets allows me to combine autonomy in running my clinic with the support of a wider veterinary community. I love the fact that I can focus on delivering excellent care while being part of something bigger"
Sorcha's commitment to the town goes beyond her clinic, she's bought a home here and in her spare time, you can catch her training with Raheny Shamrocks for parkruns and marathons.
"It's important to me that the clinic feels like part of the community. I want people to feel comfortable, whether it’s sharing concerns about their pets or just stopping by to say hello."
Sorcha hopes Village Vets Raheny will be a place where pets feel loved, owners feel supported and the team can thrive.
